Betarena launches new NLG narratives — World Cup and Competitions

The big sports event of the year in soccer is near, and Betarena’s team was busy preparing the narratives to provide the best predictions for the fixtures that will take place in the tournament.

Using thousands of historical data about the performance of the teams, the players, and the phases that the teams go through, it was possible to create several narratives with relevant information for those who will follow this event.

We also created narratives for all the tournaments in Betarena. That can be found when visiting each of the competitions.

Unlike what happens with most score platforms that always add the same content where only the statistical data changes, in Betarena, using NLG technology, new content is sent whenever the competitions end their rounds with different formatting and updated data about what happened in the competition.

As usual, the narratives evolve, becoming more and more interesting and with more relevant data for users.

Betarena is an Open Source platform and its code is available on Github. You can also follow all the future features and tweaks the Betarena team is preparing.
